Product Overview
Detects the presence and location of metal objects CEIA is the world's number one metal detector manufacturer with a global market share of over 100,000 units delivered worldwide, including TSA and STAC certified products, and several thousand units installed in Japan.
The company is also releasing a fully loaded body scanner in 2025. It is now possible to detect even the feet and inside of hats without taking them off, which was not possible with conventional body scanners.
Features & Strengths
Resistant to external interference
The system has a full range of countermeasure functions, including the ability to check interference levels, select frequency bands, and memorize the environment with respect to surrounding metals, magnetic fields, and other objects that may affect detection. When devices are placed in parallel, they can be installed with a minimum spacing of 5 cm (competitor's products have a spacing of 40 cm or more). Installation can be done in any location.
Cylindrical (lightweight, design)
The cylindrical shape makes it suitable for theme parks, sporting events, etc., without being overbearing. It is also the lightest weight in the industry, making it easy to carry even when assembled. The cylindrical design has a small footprint and takes up little space in storage areas.
Ease of installation and disassembly
CEIA products do not require any special tools for assembly/disassembly. The main components are the control unit (control part) and two antennas, and no special wiring is required.

Issue
There is a possibility that customer information, important drawings, etc. could be stolen by bringing smartphones into the office. However, since company regulations allow free dress without uniforms, the sensitivity to detect smartphones would trigger metal detectors on individual staff members' belts, accessories, shoes, etc.
Solution / Effect
We propose a dual-sensor metal detector. By increasing the sensitivity to detect smartphones while decreasing the sensitivity to detect other metal objects, the system successfully detects 100% of smartphones only. The throughput of staff screening is improved by decreasing the detection of other metal objects.
